When outreach starts working

What to Say When Someone Replies

Be ready before a reply comes in. The right response in the first 24 hours after a reply determines whether that conversation becomes a discovery call.

Interested"Tell me more / sounds interesting"
They're open. Don't pitch yet. Get them talking about their specific situation first.

Happy to — what's the most pressing operational challenge you're dealing with right now?
Price question"What do you charge?"
Don't lead with a number. Redirect to diagnosis first — then the price makes sense in context.
Copy this
Depends on what you need — I work across a few different scopes. Can I ask a quick question first about what's actually going on with your setup?
Not right now"Timing isn't right / not a priority"
This is not a no. Keep the door open, anchor a follow-up date, and move on.
Copy this
Totally understand — when would be a better time to revisit? Happy to check back in then.
Have someone"We already have someone for this"
Respect it. Leave the door open. Never push. Remove from active pipeline.

Makes sense — if anything changes or you ever want a second opinion on a CRM or workflow setup, feel free to reach out.
Why non-replies are not failure

The Real Math

Cold outreach reality — what the numbers actually mean
100
messages sent — each one is an investment, not a gamble
10
replies — a 10% reply rate is normal and healthy for cold outreach
3
discovery calls booked from those replies
1
client closed at $1,200 (Tier 2 — Full Ops Setup)
That's $12 per message sent — including the 90 that got no reply. Every message not sent is money not made. Silence is not rejection. It is the normal cost of outreach volume.

Client Onboarding Checklist

The gap between "they agreed" and "the project is going well" is where first-time freelancers lose momentum. Follow these 7 steps in order. Do not start work until Step 4 is complete.

Critical rule: Never start work before receiving the signed agreement AND the deposit. No exceptions. Not even for clients who seem trustworthy. This is what protects you.
1
Send the Freelancer Agreement + Proposal — both as PDF. Do this within 24 hours of verbal yes.
2
Receive signed agreementdo not proceed without this. Follow up daily until received.
3
Invoice for 50% deposit — via PayPal, Wise, or direct bank. Include due date of 3-5 business days.
4
Receive depositdo not start work before this arrives. Confirm receipt in writing.
5
Send welcome email — project start date, your preferred communication channel, list of what you need from them (access, files, logins).
6
Kick-off call (30 minutes) — align on scope, timeline, communication cadence, and any access needed to their CRM or tools.
7
Begin work — only after all 6 steps above are complete. First update to client within 48 hours of starting.

Freelancer Agreement Key Points

The full Freelancer Agreement is in your attachments. Here's what each clause protects you from — know these before you present it to a client.

Scope of Work — prevents a client from adding tasks beyond what was agreed. If they want more, it's a new quote.
Payment Terms — 50% deposit before work begins, 50% on completion. No negotiating this structure away.
Revision Policy — number of revision rounds included per tier. Additional revisions are billed at your hourly rate.
Intellectual Property — the deliverable belongs to the client after full payment is received. Not before.
Termination Clause — either party can exit with 7 days notice. Work completed to that point is billable.
Governing Law — Philippines jurisdiction with language covering international project delivery.
How to present it to a client: "Before I start, I'd like to send over a simple agreement that outlines what we've discussed — scope, payment, timeline. This protects both of us and keeps everything clear." Say it that way. Don't apologize for having one.
The most important week of this program

Your Final Push

Session 8 is July 12 — one week from tonight. The goal set at the start of this program was to arrive at Session 8 with at least one paying client in hand or in active close. Seven days is enough. But only if this week is different from the last three.

1
Daily · Monday through Saturday
10 outreach messages every single day
No exceptions. No "I'll catch up tomorrow." 10 messages, every day, Monday through Saturday = 60 messages this week. At a 10% reply rate that's 6 replies. At a 30% call conversion that's 1-2 discovery calls. That's everything needed.
Monday — 10 messages sent and logged
Tuesday — 10 messages sent and logged
Wednesday — 10 messages sent and logged
Thursday — 10 messages sent and logged
Friday — 10 messages sent and logged
Saturday — 10 messages sent and logged

Due: Friday July 11 · via Messenger
Send your outreach tracker to your coach

The Final Session
Session 8 · Launch & Momentum
July 12, 2026 · 8:00 PM Manila Time
If a client is in progress or active conversation by July 12: final debrief, delivery quality review, referral system, scaling roadmap, and what comes after the 23 assets.

If no client yet by July 12: honest assessment, revised outreach strategy, long-term roadmap, and a plan for the 30 days after the program ends.

Either way, Session 8 delivers Asset 23 — the Freelancing Roadmap — and closes out the program. The goal is to arrive with a client. Seven days is enough to make that happen.
The Freelancer Launch System

Seven Days.
One Client.

The brand is built. The websites are live. The platforms are optimized. The offer is priced. The agreement is ready. The only variable left is outreach volume. Send the messages.
